Carhartt Winter Gear Ad

Here’s a good ad pushing the Carhartt cold weather gear.  This is a bit early for using the Carhartt Extremes, but we want to put the idea into people’s heads that when it’s time to buy we’re the place to go. 

And it is a good time to buy.  Right now we are nearly 100% in stock with the different sizes.  We order the stuff every week, but if a large part of the country gets cold Carhartt gets overwhelmed with orders.

We can go deep on our pre-orders because it always gets cold here.  But even so with the explosive growth we’ve seen in recent years with our Carhartt gear we don’t know what size is going to take off on us.  All we can do is make orders and hope the factory can keep up with us. 

October Was a Great Month

It seems that Home of Economy rises and falls in an opposite direction than the national economy.  (That probably is true of much of North Dakota.)

Anyway October as a great month, it seems mostly because of the early winter weather we had early in the month.  I have to tell you that it’s a LOT more fun going to work when we’re on a good streak.

Carhartt led the way with a 30% plus sales increase.  Tires and Batteries also had awesome increases over 20%.  Anti Freeze sold great as well.

When we’re bringing people in for that stuff we do well all over.  We had a nice month from Science Diet pet food to Ariat western boots. 

Furniture did great as well.  We were up 30% in the all important Countryview Amish Furniture line. 

What makes this even better is that we’ve been putting together a lot of good Octobers in a row.  So when you have a strong month in comparison with a very strong month the year before you’ve got to be happy.
